This post is the third in series of the topic, presenting Ayas containing some of Allah’s orders, so that believers can read, understand and try to implement these orders of Al-Quran in their lives. Salat is an excellent mean of reciting and repeating Allah’s Ayas. To make salat more beneficial it would serve one better if one tries to understand the Ayas containing orders of Allah, recite them in salat and implement them in one’s life style.
Cheaters, fraudsters and dishonest people who defraud people in their dealings, will face grave penalty when they will face their Lord on the day of judgment.
Woe to the cheaters- When they receive measure from other people they receive in full, When they are the ones giving measure or weight, they give less than due. Do they not consider that they will be resurrected? for a great day. A Day when (all) mankind will stand before the Lord of the Worlds?
Do not slander or bike-bite people. Miser people are usually fond of counting their money. Gathering money and counting one’s wealth all the time makes the love of money so much instilled in one’s heart that it becomes difficult for them to spend its due portion in just causes.
Woe to every slanderer and-backbiter/fault finder, Who piles up wealth and counts it.
Believers should have a poised demeanor and always talk gently with people without raising their voices.
“And be moderate in your pace, and lower your voice; for the more unpleasant of sounds is the braying of the ass.”
Allah does not like that people become boastful of what bounties Allah has given them. Nor they should be overly grieved over losses they incur, as these are all temporal goods and will always be subject to vicissitudes of worldly life.
So that you may not grieve for what has escaped you, nor be exultant at what He has given you; and God does not love any arrogant boaster
The trusts of the people should be returned to the rightful owners on demand and who ever orders among people should order equitably with justice.
Verily, Allah enjoins that you render to the owners what is held in trust with you, and that when you judge among the people do so equitably. Noble are the advices of Allah to you, and Allah hears sees (all).
When you give witness, be truthful to equality and justice even if the witness is against your self or your parents or near and dear ones.
O you people who believe! Be the ones who stand out firmly for justice, as witnesses for Allah, even if this (witness) is against yourselves, or your parents, or your kin, and if they (concerned parties) are rich or poor Allah is more (a benefactor for them than you). Thus do not follow the desire (of your hearts), so that you (try to) do justice, verily Allah is well-acquainted with all that you do.
Don’t be a miser your self nor advise others to be miserly and hide what Allah has granted you with His bounties.
Those who are miserly and order people with miserliness, and hide what Allah has bestowed on them from His grace; and We have prepared, for the rejectors, a shameful punishment.
No ridiculing of people is allowed. Don’t call people with nick names. Nick names are often derogatory. No swearing or badmouthing at all after attaining faith. Swearing and badmouthing is a sure shot sign that faith has not entered a person’s heart.
O ye who believe! Let not some people among you make fun of other people. It may be that they are better than them. Nor let some women (make fun) of other women as It may be that they are better than them. Nor defame or be sarcastic to each other, nor call each other by nicknames. Reviling/bad names after (attaining) belief is really bad, and those who do not desist are (indeed) the wrongdoers.
Making guess work and conjectures about people and spying on them is bad and can be a sin in some cases. In cases of married people, suspicion on their spouses and spying on them, falls into this category. Same is the case of back biting and talking badly about people.
O you who believe! avoid most of suspicion, for surely suspicion in some cases is a sin, and do not spy nor let some of you backbite others. Does any one of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? But you abhor it; and be careful of (your duty to) Allah, surely Allah is Oft-returning (to mercy), Merciful.
When you invite towards the way of the Lord, please do so in the most beautiful and gracious manner with good reasoning and advice. For reasoning with people it is often useful to look from their point of view in order to help them relate and understand.
Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and beautiful sermon and reason with them in the best (possible) manner, for your Lord surely knows best who strays from His path and He knows best who receives guidance.
